Fret Beats Launches - Crash Course of Guitar (1 Month)
Introduction
You have come home on vacations for a month and you are
desperate to learn guitar in this season, but you have only one month. How
someone can learn a musical instrument in one month? Doesn’t it sounds
impossible? The answer is yes it is not possible to master any musical
instrument just in one month, but considering your available duration it could
be worked out in such a way that later you may start exploring your guitar
playing skills through regular practice.
For such enthusiastic aspirants who are having very less
time for learning we have devised a one month Crash Course of Guitar that will
teach you the basic chords and progressions you need to learn in order to play
songs on guitar.
Philosophy
You start learning music and you keep learning till your
last breathe, thus learning never stops. In the above perspective, it would be
an exaggerating statement to commit that we teach guitar in one month. To learn music
and master the art of performing you need to learn with patience, lot of
hard work and for that you need strong determination towards learning music.
During this one-month of comprehensive training we will teach you lessons in a fast
track mode and we just confirm that you have understood the concept. Once your
course gets complete you are required to improvise each and every lecture
at your own pace by giving ample time practicing over and over again until the exercise is played the way it should be. Thus after completing the course you
switch into self-learning mode instead of instructor led training.
How The Crash Course Works?
Fret Beats has a minimum basic course (C Major) of guitar
that is of three months of duration. That course covers the Major and Minor
Chord combinations, Scales and few songs over these chords. In Crash Course we cover the last
two month’s course of C Major and it is covered in one month.
Prerequisite for Crash Course
The aspirant must purchase guitar from day one, as we will
cover the course in fast track mode hence, it is necessary that the same must
be understood and practiced regularly on the same day and the following
day. Any student who is above 15 years
in age can join this course.

Fret Beats Launches Staff Notation Course
Fret Beats Launches New Course
Fret Beats School of Guitar launches a new course on Staff Notation, Music reading for guitar. The course has commenced from 1st April 2014. Student who posses basic knowledge of guitar can enroll for the course.
What is Staff Notation?
In Western musical notation, the staff, or stave, is a set of five horizontal lines and four spaces that each represent a different musical pitch. Appropriate music symbols, depending upon the intended effect, are placed on the staff according to their corresponding pitch or function.
The absolute pitch of each line for a non-percussive stave is determined by the placement of an appropriate clef symbol at the appropriate vertical position on the left-hand side of the staff. For example, the treble clef, also known as the G clef, is placed upon the second line. Using the staff notation we can represent various details of the melody to be played, like:
- Time Signature (Represents rhythm pattern)
- Tempo (The speed at which notes are progressing. Tempo is usually measured in beats per minute or bpm.)
- Note Duration (A note could be represented in various forms depending upon its length, for example whole note, half note or quarter note etc.
Thus one can say Staff Notation is a symbolic representation of music. Musicians or instrumentalist keep the sheet of music written in form of Staff Notation in front of them while they are playing the instrument. For illustration just check how Twinkle Twinkle Little Star rhyme could be represented on the Staff Notation:

Fret Beats Launches Course for Kids - Kidarist
Fret Beats School of Guitar is situated at 3-C, Mahaveer Colony, Ashok Nagar Road, Udaipur. After three successful years of journey at Jaipur Fret Beats has moved to the beautiful destination of Rajasthan i.e. Udaipur.
After a long awaited gap Fret Beats has finally launched kidarist, a unique guitar curriculum for kids for age group 10 to 16 years. The very first batch of kidarist would commence from Monday, May 02, 2011 from 08:00 AM to 09:00 AM.
The course has been specially designed for kids and that will certainly equip them with the basic knowledge of the beautiful sounding instrument. The duration of the course has been kept 45 days. After the completion of the course kids would be able to play simple melodies on guitar. The course material has also been designed in such a way that it would interact with kids. The language of the material has been kept pretty simple, interesting and interactive and also it would be supported with lot of illustrations, which would enable them to understand things easier and better.
Fret Beats is confident enough that this course would prove very effective and it would ignite kid’s interest in music. Once they learn the basics then at later stage they can enhance their playing skills by learning the advanced application of guitar.
